AGRICULTURAL WASTES COMPOSTING

Aerated Static Pile composting system is an alternative process which turns agricultural and food processing facilities wastes to valuable compost. It allows Thai farmers to successfully recover agricultural wastes instead of burning them, thereby, lowering production cost as a result of less dependence on chemical fertilizers. Some food processing facilities in Thailand are also able to develop waste management and add value to wastes. Although the system is already making contributions, other technologies should also be explored to cope with the amount of wastes produced by industrial plants each day.
